Inspired by some of the more voracious TSOM collectors who have been kind enough to share some of their "treasures" on here, I've been looking into some of the band's early forays abroad.
After New York, I've been looking into the Italian leg of the Armageddon tour of exactly thirty years ago just after Gary Marx left the band, and I've just put the first three articles on my blog, as there's too much to post here.

If anyone was at these gigs, or has any memorabilia from them (photos, ticket stubs etc) please feel free to share ! And if you were at any of the other gigs on the Italian leg, it would be great to hear about that too.

Very nice ... ...
I'll link it to the according pages in the SistersWiki later ... ...
Perhaps someone should take the effort to translate the interview from Italian into English ... ...

Wow, , have never seen that ticket before.
The Espero was also a cinema so it looks as if it was pay on the door with just a standard cinema ticket in return !

Thanks for the feedback. I used a different pseudonym in the UTR days, that of a local estate agent (!), and from memory had a couple of gig reviews in and articles about things like the Sisters' support bands, and their cover versions. In those pre-internet days it took much longer to research stuff, but I did what I could !Randall Flagg wrote:Superb - long may this continue - looking forward to the next instalment.

Just read the part about the new Leather nun record, i only heart the day befor yesterday "just like a dream" and got realy excited. Great band and "i can smell your thoughts" is a masterpiece! Great blog btw!!
Does anyone know what the Doonroosje introtape is? The music with the out of tune trumpets.
I was at a M!ssion gig in around 1987 and among the records being played out of the PA between the support and the main act, someone played a brief snippet of that tune, maybe only 10 seconds, the very same tune with the out of tune trumpets! The person in control of the music must surely have had a copy of the Doornroosje tape because that intro music is unlikely to have been released as a 7" single!

After a Lou Reed cover they play the whole new album track-by-track, then do a few old classics. Watch for the moment when a surprised Jonas is joined on stage by a co-vocalist (the concert promoter!) for the Nun's dubious classic "Lollipop" (their YCBTO, I suppose).
