Not me personally.
Does the title refer to Terri Nunn? She was the only 'girl' in 'Berlin'.
I have slept with all the girls in Berlin

Obviously you have never been to the city.
Hey, but you DID get laid by all the lasses in the band, tho!
Nice job.
IZ.
Hmmm, I floated this theory a while back. It would be a very funny joke. I Have Slept With Terri Nun. No-one else seemed to think so, though.
Still, I'm used to being in a minority. Welcome to the Freeks.

Certainly wouldn't be Andy's cup of tea anymore I'd say.

Hmmm, I can imagine he's waken up next to far less amiable sights, speaking for myself. For a balding guy in his 40s with matchstick legs and a funny nose, I think he'd be doing quite well there. But hey, I'm not Cilla Black.

Quite the funniest thing I've read on here for ages.

It occurred to me once that perhaps the 'berlin' isn't meant to be taken literally, but merely in the line of 'i have slept with as many girls as there are in berlin'...as the first verse describes what he has been through, and the second verse describes the kinds of girls he's been with (this doesn't mean that there aren't other reasons combined with this why he used 'berlin' and not some other place...perhaps a pun for some particular berliner such as nunn, but i doubt she is the overall driving force behind the whole thing).
Also in one concert he says before the song 'you wouldn't believe the things i've seen'...and this combined with 1st and 2nd verse, suggests to me that the song is about him having experienced just about everything there is to experience about girls.
The chorus goes 'turn me over, turn me down, i have slept with...' and if this was read like this:
"turn me over (or)
turn me down
(i don't care cause)
i've slept with..."
.. it would nicely support my theory

I think He was actually implying that he had really slept with every girl in the fair city of Berlin. Certainly every girl worth sleeping with. And one or two pretty ladies from Hamburg also, and that includes that now sadly absent girl from the Spar.
You can read into it what you will and take it however literally you want to, but it's a front, a facade, and he's merely playing up to the whole Rock God image that he's been cultivating for years.
Sex, drugs and Led Zepp. Bring it on!

And Berlin fits the song's meter quite nicely.Chairman Bux wrote:I think He was actually implying that he had really slept with every girl in the fair city of Berlin. Never underestimate the power of a good rhyme in influencing the lyricist. They area bunch of charlatans and will take the most extraordinary liberties with the truth in order to get a verse to rhyme.

i don't think a good poet ever writes about _factual_ truth (of truth, yes, but not facts), it shouldn't be relevant or even interesting to anybody.Chairman Bux wrote:Never underestimate the power of a good rhyme in influencing the lyricist. And as for rhyme over reason...the world is full of bad poets, AE isn't one of them.
