MD3 McUEFA U21: (Deadline 23 Jun 20.30 CET)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Blood Brothers (Mav787) continue to top the table with a healthy 15pts lead. Possibly the only player to call the Alice band correctly in any of the games so far. :notworthy:

Fortunately, MD3 is not a dead-rubber as all the teams still have the possibility of qualifying for the semis. Welcome to the roller coaster.

Good luck all!

Can I apologise for my teams dismal performance but I just don't seem to be able to get on the site - I just get this;

I've 3 Czechs and 3 Germans up tonight so I'm hoping for a 5-5 with all of the 6 providing all of the goals/assists. It's the only way I'll catch the bin-dipper. :innocent:

:P

I can remember an extremely derogatory comment you made in FPL about my Chelski heritage. I chose to ignore it as my degree in metaphysical Victorian poetry comes from the University of SAF.

Getting twitchy?

You know, I don't think any of my players has scored since the start of the tourny.
Having a good evening points-wise though :D
Cheers.

me too - potentially. it's the most clean sheets I've ever had - all defenders playing and a midfielder. but why is it showing clean sheet points for 60 mins when they've only played 50? false hope!

It's just the way these McFIFA/McUEFA games work. Every player starts on a CS so gets the points from minute 1. Unlike FPL when it's only awarded after 60mins. I kinda understand the logic.

but it does say "0 goals conceded (60 minutes+)" on the points box.
i keep having to go to another site to get the correct score/minutes played.
my tally is down.. not sure by what as updates not happened as yet.

I can't keep up. More matches already.
I haven't even seen any matches or even the results yet, just the Fantasy League table.
Think I am on the slippery slope. It won't be far from here to spread betting on Czech 2nd Division ice hockey like a colleague of mine.

Greek women's basketball is a much 'safer' option. :innocent:

You'll be beating me! I still can't get on despite @Pista's best efforts to set me straight.

Made the mistake of using my Facebook login and now can't login at work 'cause it's blocked. Gaaaaahhh!

Mmm. I guess you've done all the usual "clear caches" stuff. Might be the browser's pulling up a cached page

I don't think Limur's problem is with caching. Its more likely to be that his employer's security software doesn't allow access to social media sites so when he clicks on sign in with Facebook it won't allow UEFA.com to pick up his FB credentials.

I bet it works fine for him at home (assuming he has internet access at home).

Bl00dy web washers .

But the icon he posted further upthread was identical to the one the beta site returned once the live site came to life.
I thought it was quite a nice change to a page not found message.

I made some substitutions this morning & noted that you get docked the points for the players you take off.
& if you change the captain, half his points get docked too.
Grumble grumble :|
Cheers.

What did you expect? You can only play with 11 and it's your final 11 that constitutes your final MD score. This is the skill/judgement element of the game when playing manual sustitutions. Or did you expect to score from 15 players and 2 Alice bands?

I think we're back to reading the rules.

I'm guessing he was using the Beta site then switched to using your link. That got him to the sign on page where he then had trouble with his FB sign in.

I have to deal with users giving me half a story for what they did to break my system all the time.

First time Volland has let me down so going for a bit of a gamble with the alice band tonight.

Well it was an experiment really. In the rules for example, it reads
You must nominate a member of your team to be captain. This player will score double the number of points they would usually have been awarded that matchday.

Your captain may be changed during a matchday by using manager substitutions.

If your captain does not play then the bonus will be lost. Another player will not take over the captaincy in their place.
No mention of points being docked, so i thought why not try it?
In the end I managed to sub out the lowest point scorers so hopefully tonight I can get a decent total.
It's a bit like playing poker isn't it?
Cheers.
