MD3 McUEFA U21: (Deadline 23 Jun 20.30 CET)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Oooh! Insider info... but I think I'll have to gamble as well to catch you. Good luck! :)

Absolutely. Stick or twist. For example my GKs: Is Bardi gonna outscore Busk (7) tonight. I fancy England to score and Bardi to lose his CS, so I stick. Make sense? :)

You do know that's Blackjack aka Pontoon?

I'd pay good money to see you sit down at a poker table in my local casino and on receiving your 2 cards ask to twist :)

That felt like the obvious captain so instead I went for Bernardo Silva

Looking at the score in the England match, you might have made the right move there
Cheers.

I bet it works fine for him at home (assuming he has internet access at home).
@Mav787 is absolutely right.

But

I'm watching the game. Very few managers/teams can play in a "game management" mode. We're talking about top club teams here.

So why or why, do England think they can do it? Juniors or seniors (the women actually do it very well) they're totally bereft of the talents or the ability.

Let's go all out 4-4-2. Get the ball out wide, or just long ball it down the middle to Ings (why else is he on the pitch?) and let Harry feed off him, with the mids supporting.

Are you listening Gareth? :x

I turned it off at half time. England rubbish as always. They were saying on the radio this morning what a great player John Stones is. Ha ha ha, not on this performance.

but only 6 transfers. How many players have you got who are now eliminated?

McClunky has updated and your current medal positions at the end of MD3 are:

1. 125pts - Blood Brothers (Mav787)
2. 112pts - DEngland (Johnny Rev 7.0)
3. 97pts - Malice Meow FC (CatsnCheese)

Mav787 is smugly humming his favourite Spandau Ballet track ♫ Gold! Always believe in your soul etc. ♫. Johnny Rev 7.0
has deleted ♫ Silver Machine ♫ from his earworm library as it is not compatible with his beliefs. Cats has added ♫ The Bronze ♫ by QOTSA to her earworm music library. Probably more in shock/disbelief than anything else. :lol:

But, there's only 13pts separating Gold and Silver, and 15pts separating Silver and Bronze. Indeed, there's only 10pts separating Bronze and 8th place. Still all to play for. :notworthy:

After conferring with Pista today, the wooden-spoon position (formerly known as the Hom in FPL parlance) has now been renamed the limur for the duration of this tournament. :innocent:

I'll now hand you back to a Man in a Hungarian Shed who will guide through the Semi-Final MD thread on the other side. 8)

Good luck all! :kiss:

Its not clear if manual subs will be allowed after the first semi-final.

Has anyone seen anything that clarifies if they are?

Sheds are cool.....except in the middle of summer with no air-con.
:?

@Mav787
Not read any details on the subbing. I'm assuming they are still good to go.
Cheers.

No manual subs as it's the same MD. Manual subs only permitted between MDs. Basically you pick your starting 11 for the evening. But, with no manual subs permitted auto-subs come into play, ala FPL.

Or from the Small Book of Rules:
Manager substitutions

Manager substitutions allow you more flexibility to make alterations within a matchday period.

After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next matches start.
