THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Maybe you need to spend time listening to some sub-standard Rock'n'Roll bands. If you don't have any in your collection then the Internet is overflowing with them.
After some time immersed in the second rate your mind and body will then be screaming for some of the best that the 80's could offer.

So it's about lowering standards, isn't it?
Or I got something wrong here.
Of course, it's also, in my view, point or idea, not about compare current TSOM to that from the past (closer and further), but c'mone, raise the bar or at least keep it on the same leve, but not lower. I know that older get are more deaf we become and we start to enjoy smaller things (like taking a p*ss without labour pain), but still, it's nothing bad to expect at least decent gig, decent vox, decent guitar.
What I was suggesting for Paint It Black to get back in to listening to STUDIO Sisters then he should listen to some second rate bands and that would then give him the thirst to listen to a top notch STUDIO band again ie TSOM
