Hi
I'm new here just saying "hi".
As the title says I've been rediscovering TSOM lately. I have my mother who is 80 plus to thank for this. She went into a nursing home a while back and it's been my task to sort through all her things bit by bit. Among the tonnes of possessions she had was a box of old records. Being a devout woman she was careful to keep anything that was religious so there was a selection worthy of Fr. Ted of masses in different languages, papal speeches, Gregorian Chants and singing clergy. In the middle of these was my battered old copy of FALAA which she obviously thought was by the other Sisters in the habits and veils. I hadn't heard it in so long it was a joy to find it.
As I have no turntable anymore I managed to track down the CD compilation and get back into the Sisters all over again and I am appreciating them more now than ever. Even my teenage son "doesn't mind " them which is actually code for high praise from him. No sign of my Floodland album though but the new boxsets will be on the Christmas list along with a new turntable.
Sacred music indeed

welcome to Heartland.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I was a good Catholic girl once, it's overrated 😃
Of course, if it's catholic with a small "c" you mean well that would be a different matter entirely 😉
