Totally irrelevant, but don't we all need a bit of irrelevance in our lives? Well, don't we?
This is a pic that's circulating on the net; allegedly it's NIKE's latest advert:
it's actually a fake, created by some prankster. pretty sick though, eh? (apologies to any Israeli Heartlanders - I just thought it was interesting, in a sick kinda way.)
full story can be found here http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/nikebomb.asp
Also stumbled across this bizarre picture:
it's allegedly a baby dragon (!) in formaldehyde, which first turned up in the 1890s (some bloke recently rediscovered it in his garage!) full story here http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/entertain ... e=Even%0Ai
'Draconologists', who are dragon experts, are apparently taking it seriously. Bizarre!
Weird!

I believe this is real; why would a fake bigfoot have boobies?
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Me too. If it's a fake, the dragon's exquisitly detailed, even down to it's tiny nails and teeth.d00mw0lf wrote:that dragon is beautifull. but i love things like that - fiji mermaids, freaky taxidermy, skeletons of mythical beasts....
It was clearly made by someone with too much time on their hands.

I don't know why, but I've always had the burning desire to find a tall bloke, dress him in a gorilla costume and produce my own fake bigfoot film.
Any volunteers to play the big hairy dude?

Not really. It's one of the most commonly misspelt words, alongside"misspelled/-spelt".cocoamix wrote:I guess no one finds it weird that weird is misspelled.

Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but speaking of dragons, at Hagenbeck's they had one of the weirdest creatures I've ever seen - the "leafy sea dragon".
Check it out at http://www.divegallery.com/Leafy_Sea_Dragon.htm

Those seahorses are massively weird. They look just like seaweed until they swim off.
I like this thread. I like the fact that someone went to the trouble of making that dragon. Weird, for want of a better word, is good.

You shore like strange things Emma._emma_ wrote:I just wanted to say that this dragon is one of the cutest things I've seen recently.
I find it interesting, but cute is not exactly the word I had in mind.
i think it's very cute! if it's real, then it's unique and special, if it's a fake, it's a work of art.christophe wrote:You shore like strange things Emma._emma_ wrote:I just wanted to say that this dragon is one of the cutest things I've seen recently.
