new uploads to sisters imagebank

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Wow, great photos! Can't believe it was nearly 13 years ago!!
To not know and to ask a question is a moment of embarrassment; to not know and not ask is a lifetime of shame.

Great pics indeed, thanks to Dan, Mugabe and of course - to Quiff Boy :notworthy:
But - why can't I see the photo # 03 of Bizarre 91? :?
I mean - if you tried to download them (hope it isn't forbidden? ) you'd see pics 01, 02, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 09 but no 03...

Really cool photos Adrenochrome.
Much appreciated.

Could be wrong, but I'm pedantic by nature and feel I must point
out that judging by the clothes, the length of Eldritch's hair and
the absence of Tim Bricheno, that these photos are from summer 1990.

As the story goes, Eldritch and Co. walked on stage right before the Nephs
were due to headline, and announced the first live dates by the Sisters for
five years. ;D :von:

That would be correct. The Zillo Biography/Discography/Interview book has additional photos from the occasion (90-06-23). Same people, same attire, (presumably) the same Bacardi bottle. And, from the look of it, it was more of a traditional press conference than a coup.

It was undoubtedly official but nevertheless timed for maximum impact -
a kind of show the young pretenders that I'm back.
The weekly music press tried to stir up some rivalry, hoping for another
Eldritch Vs Hussey affair but McCoy wasn't up for it and pointed out it was still their headline. Tony seemed a bit more put out.
Sorry, I can't remember the source of the actual interview.

Anybody?

I've just uploaded a couple of nice scans of Eldritch from the early 90's.
Von in full Love God mode...

I was at this festival. This Picture was taken ON stage.

Andrew tried to anounce the tourdates of the 1990 tour on stage (I think just after the Fields have left the stage.. or was it Phillip Boa?).
Unfortunatly nobody recognized him (including me) - AND everybody was expecting The Ramones, so nobody in the audience showed much interest in the things this dodgy darkling tried to announce ;-)
Finally he yelled "Nun seid doch mal ruhig!" (SHUT UP!) - and then he told the name of his band (but still there wasn't much interest in the audience)
"Am Anfang wurde das Universum erschaffen.
Das machte viele Leute sehr wütend und wurde allenthalben als Schritt in die falsche Richtung angesehen."
