A 5-CD Skeletal Family box set is happening; look at what turns up at the end of disk 4 (the live disk): http://shop.cherryred.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=5264
Well that was unexpected.
I guess it's the nearest we'll get to new Sisters-related material for a while.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

You have to believe/hope that there's access to a soundboard recording of this show somewhere in the SF archive.Drsisters wrote:I am really curious what "version" they are going to use.. the one we all heard or something else.
Cannot believe they'd resort to a vinyl rip..
hang on a minute - forgot that's exactly what Von did to fill a few b sides...
As far as I can recall Andrew J P hopped in a cab with a couple of bootlegs and hey presto - B sides!

Hey, why not make a bit of dosh off bootleggers?Randall Flagg wrote:You have to believe/hope that there's access to a soundboard recording of this show somewhere in the SF archive.Drsisters wrote:I am really curious what "version" they are going to use.. the one we all heard or something else.

Clearly you've not bought a Cherry Red compilation before!Randall Flagg wrote: Cannot believe they'd resort to a vinyl rip..
I had unpleasant opportunity to buy some of their "products", let's say that I don't like listen songs through cell/mobli phone speakers, except clock alarm and ringtones.

There was a time when I found this acceptable... maybe the early '90s... and I think we were all just grateful someone would put those old RLYL songs on a CD... but now, in 2015?
This arrived today.
Knocking On Heaven's Door with Von and Wayne.......reminds me of the quality of bootleg cassette tapes I used to collect in the '80s. Maybe one of the better quality ones but still a bootleg.
Opportunism by Skeletal Family or Cherry Red? I know that no-one asked Wayne if it was OK to release this long forgotten recording. I wonder how feels about it.
