Suede: Night Thoughts

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Any love for Suede's new album, or Suede generally? I'm quite a recent convert, of sorts. Dog Man Star did it for me although none of their other albums were able to have a comparable impact on me. Maybe with time: their first one and Head Music are starting to grow on me. I speak in pre-Night Thoughts tense, because this one hooked me in from the start - very good. Can't wait to see them for the first time on Monday. Better late than never.

I was a big fan from the Bernard era through to Coming Up, thought they went off the boil after that but since they got back together more recently they've been on top form. I saw one of the November shows where they played the new album - excellent stuff :)

I do have the first 5 albums , wasn't that impressed with bloosports and i heard most of the tracks from night thoughts and i realy don't get all the rave reviews it s getting. Sounds nice but "nice" just isnt enough to go out and buy it.

Ok it's not quite DMS but Outsiders and No Tomorrow are Utterly Bastard Groovy. :-)

For good or bad, it's basically a very Neff-esque album. Especially the transition between tracks 4 and 5.
