RIP, Purple Poet.
We're going to need a new RIP forum soon.

I don't wanna live like I don't mind
Mercilessly mocked. Never let it get to him. He just did what he did & dared to be different.
Complete musical genius.
There's one hell of a gig waiting for us in the afterlife

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Can't claim to have been a fan, although I did like When Doves Cry, but still.
The reaper's really got in for celebs this year.

Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

Man, this is an awful year. Lemmy, Bowie, Hag, and now Prince? Unreal. Pretty much everyone who influenced me as an artist is getting it in the neck (watch out Andrew, Gary, and the Koller bros.!).
He was a flat-out genius. I love his guitar playing. One of the greats.

It's not even half of this year and we lost already few icons. There must be something strange in the air.
Can't call myself a fan or even follower of Prince, but he was unique as artist.
