'Untitled' Is The Sisters' Most Criminally Underrated Track

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I love this song. It's one of my favorite Sisters tracks, hands down. The song is so heavily drenched in atmosphere you can taste it. It's a really beautiful track, and in my opinion an astoundingly underrated one.

If you've never heard it, (or it's been a while) I strongly recommend you look it up on YouTube, (or, preferably, play it on vinyl) and just close your eyes and feel the music.

Thoughts on it being underrated, or just the track in general?

I fully agree. When I listened to it for the first time, I also found it beautiful, dense, impressing ... ;D ;D ;D ... though as it comes, it has never ever been played live not even as an intro ... and then you forget ... :wink: ...

Still, thanks for the reminder ... :D :notworthy: ...

Love it. It conjures up images of Sean Young smoking in a darkened room.

Vangelis would have made a great partner instead of Steinman :von:

If :von: really meant that he has thoughts to reside in Greece and get a house close to Vangelis, perhaps we will see something. Vangelis has a studio at home :innocent: :lol:

yes, i love this track for all the reasons given and if theres anyone still around who gives a s**t it will be played at my funeral.
when i bought the dominion 12" on the day it came out i was at college doing my A levels and had music that day. as i was the only person in that year doing music A level we often finished early or just sat and chatted and my music teacher asked me to play my new record. as i remember she was a bit unsure about dominion and emma but totally loved sandstorm and untitled.
essntially just the sax solo from dominion slowed down.....but actually so much more.

I listened that song - very good, atmospheric. I also listned "Untitled" form Floodland demos (I probably listened this years ago, but I didn't remember this one) - that is as good as "Untitled" from Dominion.

I actually wanted to ask what untitled you were talking about, :oops: and now I see I probably thought of the wrong one, I thought it was this one;

which also is very atmospheric. I wonder how many good tunes
:von: has written that will never surface..

To me it's a slowed down 'Dominion' with the sax layed over the top. A great song to listen to whilst on drugs though. YMMV. :von:
