The all new 'Who's Going Where and When' thread

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

just got back from seeing Hawkwind. cant say i'm too keen on the new album but it didnt need to be played in its entirety and a couple of the tracks were really good. the band didnt play well IMO, more noticeably on the older material they played at the end. still it was nice to hear Assault and Battery and The Golden Void. the crowd were dreadful -they didnt even get excited about the classics (which they didnt seem to recognise)- and i swear i was the only person singing along to anything. fucking hippies.

Don, Jon and Androo went to see them last Friday here and had the same experience. I suspected it would be like that so didn't bother to get a ticket. I could see they were at the start of a downward spiral at the Preston Gig back on the 'Warrior...' Anniversary Tour 4 years ago. 2 guys we had spoken to before the Gig were quite bitter about their experience of seeing them just the year before in Manchester. At the end of the night there were a few loud and angry hecklers but even less people clapping and cheering :?

Swans in July. Hopefully Sick Of It All in July as well.

Holmfirth was really good. Sold out and a very lively audience. Picturedrome is one of my favourite venues.

i thought the chameleons were a let down tbh. they were meant to be playing the script of the bridge album in full and bottled it before second skin and played loads of other stuff first. when they did play second skin it was ruined by their own followers taking the p*ss and singing along to the music in a [s]cuntish[/s] [s]fuckwitted[/s] hil-ar-i-arse way.
and when i and several others shouted for "in shreds" he said something like "i couldnt play that without so-and-so blah blah blah" why not? youve just murdered everything else on your own! unimpressed.

I'm currently wandering about Paris with my wife. We've met a few Americans, and they've horrified me. Totally rethinking my jingoism at the moment. But they're not as bad as the Euro16 drunks...

Also wish I'd brought a pair of Texas-stompy cowboy boots. And an umbrella.
