Brexit?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

No idea Mark. Time will tell as things become clearer over the next few years.

I'll be fine. Depending on what happens I'll have three options:

1. Remain a British citizen.
2. Become a German citizen (8+ years residency/language skills)
3. Become an Irish citizen (Birthright)

It will take a lot of soul searching on my behalf (I'm proud to be Northern Irish and British), but ultimately my decision may come down to who's got the best International football team. :innocent:

Changing someone's flat tyre was a good one & did you see the one of them doing the bull-fight with the Swedish fans?
That was priceless  :notworthy:

i watched question time last night and though it wasn't comforting it showed the politicians haven't got any more of a clue as to what's happening than the rest of us.

Now Farage has resigned as well ... :urff: ... probably to have more time to support European rightwingers in their efforts for their own referendum ... :urff: :urff: :urff: ...

I'm back in the UK on Wednesday for nine nights. It'll be interesting to hear/feel:

1. What the local vibe is regarding Brexit.

2. The thoughts and opinions of those who engage with me.

Note: It's all non-Goff. Cornwall, Devon and East Sussex.

Yes. He resigned as leader of UKIP, but still remains as an MEP.

Yep. And gets almost £80k a year for doing practically bugger all.
Considering UKIP had such an anti-EU stance their MEPs hardly bothered to attend debates or even vote, effectively denying the UK at least more of a say in many issues & so whatever was passed in Brussels stood without them even trying to challenge it.
Now, all of a sudden, now the referendum is won, democracy's a cool thing eh?
Cheers.

I know. I did reach for the soap, but there was one of those evil CE marks on the label & I had to search for something with "made in China" printed on it instead

For the last week or so, it looked like he was making excuses to stay, saying he thought the other Leavers were going to go back on their immigration promises. Now suddenly he resigns. Internal party strife? Jumping before he's pushed?

And although he's still an MEP for now, eventually he won't be able to be. Cos we won't have any.

Mind you, he resigned once before, so let's not count our chickens just yet.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.
