I've booked a table at McPhabbs for 7pm this Saturday. For those not familiar with the area, it's on 23 Sandyford Pl, Charing Cross, Glasgow G3 7NG. Sandyford Place is really just a part of Sauchiehall Street.
McPhabbs does food or alternatively, we could eat at Mr Singh's India, which is right next door. It also has a beer garden and a back patio, where Blaast enjoyed many a fag!
ARF and I expect to be there from 6ish onwards.
Depending on how things go, we could maybe pour ourselves into taxis to the Laurieston later on...
I hope this plan suits all. Anyone who wants more info is welcome to PM me.
Cheers!
MacHeartland meet-up: GET PISHED AND DESTROY!
I'll be there for 6pm too.

Oh, EB, that'd be lovely! Except that it's an arm and a leg to get there from here (unless we were to drive in; too much going on right now for that, though, sadly). GRRRRR. I haven't been to town in years!!! DH loathes/is terrified of town, too, incidentally. Pfffft. He's partial to the place where they pahk cahs in Hahvahd yahd, you see... One of these months, though! I reeeeeeeally need to get back there for a bit of strolling and browsing–even knowing, as I do, that St. Marks is nothing more than a scrubbed-up hipster hangout, nowadays... But if you get down here (BoltBus is probably the cheapest option) I promise to show him bits that aren't terrifying or loathesome, and while St. Marks is awful The Pyramid retains some of its charm. Come down on a Thursday for their Metro night (aka Choons For Us Old Farts) and boogie through to dawn!

Either of y'all (EB/SS) get down to DC, let me know. I'll happily buy a few pints if I'm in town.

I really think we need to organise a North Eastern HL get-together. High time we rescued Madame Sin from her self-imposed exile in the cultureless wastes of "New" Englandsultan2075 wrote:Either of y'all (EB/SS) get down to DC, let me know. I'll happily buy a few pints if I'm in town.

And another topic derailed. One can stay away from this place for ages, and nowt will have changed when you get back.
Arph, I can undestand your feelings, but they were/are talking about paying some trubite/meeting for remembering James.

Anyone else who feels like coming along, even for a short time, you'd be most welcome.
