Facebook: Please bear in mind

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Sort of on-topic: I never knew until recently that neither "James" nor "Blast" were part of his real name. I feel like a complete imbecile.

From when the man himself was still alive : the correct way to address him was and still is "James Blaast!â„¢" This includes the double 'a' vowel, the exclamation mark and the â„¢. And no, that isn't his real name. It even baffled Molly when he announced one day he would from then on be known as 'James Blast' (as it was still spelled in the beginning), moreso because James was the name of the father he never had the pleasure of knowing as the man died when our James was just ten months old.

Even I never really knew where the nickname had come from, until Andrew enlightened me while we were at McPhabbs for James's send off. Unfortunately, a few hours before that, I had been visiting Molly and when she told me he 'blasted his music so loud' she appropriated the bedroom adjacent to the wall separating them from their neighbours to keep the neighbourhood relatively peaceful, and I wondered if that was where his nickname had originated, she picked up on it, and it made its way into the priest's sermon at the funeral on Monday. My bad, even though it made for a great and vintage Blaast!â„¢ anecdote, as the priest related that James was always happy to share his music with people and how he was one of them, as James would be blasting his music on the car stereo with the windows down before mass. Anyway...

For simplicity's sake, though, the exclamation mark and the â„¢ have been removed on the shirts. Which shirts? These shirts...

'Molly The Mum', 'Nibbler', 'Big Eat Thi Breid', 'Zed The Destroyer', 'ARF!' and 'Exodus C_Ornflakes' are referring to specific people, so these are off limits to people other than themselves. All others are yours to choose from, should you wish to own a shirt commemorating Blaast by one or more of his, ehm, colourful exclamations. They comes in all shades of black (except Zed's, because orange wasn't available. And he begged.), and possibly some other colours that go with a design in white.

P.S. My name isn't Ahrayeph either, even though I did try to have my last name changed to it, but the damn government didn't allow it, so for all intents and purposes, it might as well be.

Yes, I did. Thanks for the compliment, but all I did was follow James' lead. The logo is based on the font I developed - with his blessing - for my metal band Trans World Tribe, which in turn was a continued development of the Ahrayeph logo James designed for our first ever concert's backstage passes back in 2007, so the design is all about Blaast.

Awesome shirts, Raf (yes, now I get it)! :notworthy: I might just avail myself of one at some point...

So: what was Herr Bla(a)st's real name, then? I'd really like to know (in a Fight Club sort of way, I guess)... :|

During one of our many Bier, Vino, Cheese and Burnt Meate Products evenings that always lasted into the witching hour, Jean Michel recounted to me of his choice of Name. He first joined us here as Red Sunsets but chose to rename himself as James Blast which he'd setup already on another Bands Music Forum that he frequented back in the day. It being a not so subtle pun on -
