Facebook

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

great article Mark. scary stuff, but nothing much more than i already suspected, ever since google confidently claimed it could identify and profile anyone from just 7 photos.

most bands websites are sources of information about the band (history, biogs, discogs) rather than tools for self-promotion. these days thats all done through twatter or suchlike.

If you have a hankering then I would definitely suggest going - it's a gorgeous country, full of friendly people and amazing architecture. Wild Frontiers is reputed to be excellent - I'm going on my first trip with them in July (Kashmir), I'll let you know what they're like.

Yeah, biscuits and cats make occasional guest appearances... as do my attempts at making black pudding out of human blood. :D
