Six of the best films

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hedwig is the greatest film ever.

Very good taste. When you get home, permit yourself an extra glass of ribena.

No. But I urge you next time you are out to try Frambozenbier, which is a belgian bier which tastes like ribena with bier.

spinal tap

how much more perfect could it be ? and the answer is none, none at all. one of the very few films where the DVD extras are worth it, the comentary over the film by shearer, mckean and guest makes the old jokes fresh and brings in new ones.

blade runner

the original, not the DC. ridley scott is a great man and i agree the ending of the original is weak, but how could you ditch the talkover, which made it the first tech noir film. coming closer every year

alien

minimal sets, small cast, lots of smoke. sound familiar ? the first film to really show that what you don't see is more terrifying than what you do, and the courage to dispense with the (then) big name star in the first third of the film. it's that man scott again.

matrix

but only the first. reloaded and revolutions = redundant. sublime visuals, great effects, sometimes you've just got to settle back and enjoy it

the wall

the greatest rock video of all time. waters exploring one of his favourite themes, personality disintegration, plus gerald scarfe on graphics.

diva

who knows what it's about ? and who cares when the photography is so good. it has been described as surreal: unexplained events, characters coming and going without introduction, not asking direct questions but then not answering them either; i'm sorry, but that's real life. and who would have thought we would want to own a citroen ?

Yes, powerful and moving...

Goog movie until...
Fanatical neo nazi racist goes to prison, one of the worse places on earth to find any good emotion or for develop anything resembling human feelings, and the man was already a well of hatred. Prison, one of the hardest places on earth to be, not counting with wars, but still in there he sees the light of goodness and is cured of his malevolent ways, exactly by the means of a black man, whom he hated with fanatical passion and by the betrayal of his supposedly white brothers. Yeah, right, what a load of crap. Like any of that would ever happened.

Look America, after all racists are so easily cured. Sure.

And the ending, oh my, the ending, brother is killed because he followed older brother's wicked ways even after older brother had seen the light. Pass the tissues, typical hollywood cheap sentimentalism.

Sorry QB, it's nothing against you, but this movie irritates me so much.
