Local knowledge needed for HULL

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

All sites with venue info lists 01482 222785 as the phone#. The tour itinerary of the band "Browbeat", updated 11th Jan, lists The White Room for the 25th of January, so if they called it quits, it must have been very recently.

User theenigma on http://www.netgoth.org.uk/pubs/index.php?id=1318 seems to be involved, maybe you can get hold of him.

Cheers Fella,

The net goth number is an anagram of the original number I found, so still no luck on that front but I'm following up on getting hold of bands with listings to get the skinny from them.

Thanx,

Ian

Hey,

So, just to finish off the story - we went, the venue was very cool. gig was great and they invited us back for a Saturday headline. The only downer is the smell that comes from the cocoa processing plant next door - wow, I never thought chocholate could smell bad.

...After having spent three years of my life living around that area of Hull, I can testify that you never, ever know how BAD cocoa can smell until you've lived with it day in day out like that!!!

My sympathies are with you! ;D But good on yer for getting a Sat'day headline...It may justify a visit over to The City At The End Of The World!!! :innocent: :notworthy: :von:
