Re-run of currently watching

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

While staying in to avoid pollen last weekend, I binge-watched season 1 of The Expanse and came away suitably impressed.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Season 2 is even better. I was sceptical after season 1, but gave it a fair crack & it gets seriously good
Cheers.

OK I've just watched Star Trek Beyond and I take back anything bad I have ever said about Simon Pegg. :notworthy:

I absolutely loved it. Far more faithful to Roddenbery's original vision for the franchise than the earlier films in the reboot series, I think.

The Merseysider in me prefers this outbreak of northern outrage. Though my mates in Leeds, who are mostly too young to remember Brookside, would be advised to turn on the subtitles option

May Day bank holiday seemed the ideal occasion for this:

fabulous film, one of my all-time favourites. i really like the fact that edward woodwards [s] pig [/s] policeman character completely digs his own hole through a) his inept detective work and b) the narrow-mindedness inherent in what he considers to be his superior morals.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Last episode of Stan Lee's Lucky Man.

Hope there'll be a 3rd season.
Cheers.

Delicious, isn't it? All that puritanical outrage up in smoke. The incensed becomes the incense.

I was also pleasantly surprised by Ricky Whittle - appearing in Hollyoaks doesn't normally correlate too well with acting ability!

I didn't know that. One advantage of living in Hungary is that Hollyoaks takes a heck of an effort to watch.

Just watched A Dark Song. I rather enjoyed it, and don't want to spoil it by saying more about it (other than mentioning that while I liked it, my wife thought it was too slow. I don't agree).
