Today I have been mostly...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Wandering Maryland's eastern shore as we take a break from the city for my wife's birthday.

Sirens have been replaced by birdsongs. It's nice.

Stripping 50 years of paint off a steam pipe in the bathroom (it's been on the To Do list for 5 years but can only do it when the heating system in the building is off), sanding, cleaning, priming (2 coats), topcoats tomorrow. This is why the gods invented 3-day weekend.

Still wandering the eastern shore with the addition of lots of mosquito bites on my feet.

I knew I should've stuck to the jeans and cowboy boots, dammit.

Took up running again after a loooong break. So, it was more like jogging and walking, jogging and walking. Felt good to blast tunes and expend some rage-horror.

Mostly gardening while impressing the neighbours with my collection of Dio-era Sabbath at Marshall stack volume, invited them around for a nice bottle of red or three afterwards as one of them loved Ronnie Dio too, now watching the Manca One Love gig on the Beeb.

I saw that line up, I really loved it, but then like at least one other here I think RJD was the metal singer.

Haha.
If you do, switch out the masking tape for gaffer tape. It adds to the whole R'n'R ambience.
:D

Well, right now they are a bit frightened. It's all new to them. They are very small (about 6 weeks old).
They are currently snuggled together in a corner while this new "world" sinks in.

And you have a black one too! - my favourite kind and so often overlooked.

We need a Heartland cat thread setting up so we can have loads of cat/kitten pics!

... same as the other seven days of the past week ...
watering plants, sprinkling lawns, sweeping leaves, tending plants ... and the cat ...
and without access to phone or internet ... at least temperatures have decreased to below 30° C over the past three days ... *sigh.

It's over now. Resumée - recreation won't even start before at least a week far away from the standards ... ...
