Vote for a Cover Competition

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Now then.

We're running our 'Vote for a Cover' contest in Rhombus world again

Here's how it works, go to the Rhombus message
board to be found at - www.rhombus-rock.com and in the
news and chat section you'll find the 'Vote for a
Cover' thread. Enter one or more songs you'd like to
see Rhombus play. (You can really screw us over here)

The band will then pick a short list of songs, and
it's then up to you to vote.

The winning song will be performed at a Rhombus gig
and the person who suggested the song gets two tickets
for the gig, a couple of pints and a bag of crisps!

I am sure Ed can afford a plane ticket to be included as part of the deal. He looks minted. :D :D

What flavour crisps? I don't like ready salted. In case I win. Just so you know. ;D

Crisp depend on the venue, unless we send Scardy out for them.

Rob is too tight to even pay for a bus fare.

But do vote

Some of us started a campaign a while back to get The Sisters to cover 'No Good advice' by Girls Aloud. The chorus is the best (and most appropriate) lyric von never wrote:

"I don't need no good advice
I'm already wasted
I don't need some other life
Cold and complicated
I don't need no Sunday trips
To add sympathising
I don't need no special fix
To anaesthetise me"

See what I mean?
OK- it doesn't scan, and it doesn't actually say what it tries to, but it's so funny...

I'd advise you to get in there and play it before He does.

I couldn't access the message board so I'll make my suggestions here:

1. Black is black - by... can't remember (you know the one: Oh-oh what can I do, cause I-I-I-I I'm feelin' blue)

2. The Letter - Joe Cocker

3. Cold Gin - Kiss

In that order. Thank you 8)
