Milking the Goatmachine - Temple Of Love

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Oh ye gods how I lurve these German goatees :D
Starting as a grindcore/partyband, it soon was discovered they are waaay to good to be 'just an underground band'...

So they started covering some ehm... not-so-underground bands.

Be warned.

Maybe this should go in the "Inaugural Heartland Metal" thread instead

Honestly, in my opinion, this is more interesting than all the goth bands covering Sisters. Even though I can rarely stand grindcore except for Warsore. Around 2:30 it got unbareably bad though.

Tongue in cheek fun. Clicked on their cover of Alphaville's Big in Japan which was even more of a riot - with the music video synced up lololol!

Actually more interesting than other covers. I was sceptic about clicking the link but i did and liked it more than expected. At about 2:27 and for about 10-12 sec becomes a little mainstream but they come on the right tracke pretty fast 8)

They have a full cd of coversongs titled "Covered In Milk" :)

I saw them live a couple of weeks ago, and was impressed by their skills and... welll... variety of sound. They are mainly grindcore/gore-porngrind but they play a mean heavy metalriff as well.

For those with Spotify, here's the full CD! Alas, no YouTube linky was found, tho you can find the separate songs there as well...

Full tracklist:

Mr Irish Bastard's cover of Temple sits on the same higher plain of existence as The Sisters' version of Gimme Shelter. This Goatmachine number is a bit noisy eh? Love their band logo though, there's no way on earth that says Milking The Goatmachine  :notworthy:
