New IZZY project - The Thing With Five Eyes

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hi all,

Since I'm frequenting this place a bit more often again (why, I dunno, because of the gentlefolks here I guess  ), I found it time to do a gratuitous plug for one of my new projects.

The Thing With Five Eyes is the new brainchild of Jason Köhnen, a guy you might know from projects such as Bong Ra, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation.
The newer people here might know me as a metalhead, the older members as a dark ambient composer with For Greater Good, well...
This is totally different ;) I also play the trumpet and flugelhorn, and that is exactly what I do on this project. On the forthcoming CD, that is. I'm a new hired hand here, so you won't hear me on the debut EP.

Style-wise it is a mix between ambient, darkjazz and oriental influences. As stated on the Bandcamp: "THE THING WITH FIVE EYES ventures deeper into mystical and occult territories of the soul. Exploring the vast universes of the unknown."

I hope this preview will work, for it is a Farcebook link to the preview:

https://www.facebook.com/thethingwithfi ... 737894226/

Otherwise you can check out a song and videoclip of the previous release on YouTube here:

Enjoy, and thanks for your time! :notworthy:

That's why I spam people frequently on Farcebook, but it seems to no avail then!

Very much liking what I'm hearing here, Iz.

Sound and visuals appear to be courtesy of a nice trip to ayahuasca, and perfect comedown music after a session of earbleed death metal :notworthy:
