psychedelic furs - support dates

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hello & welcome.
First place I would check is the Sisters wiki :)

hi Steve, Thanks for the quick reply. I've checked that page and it does mention support dates in 1982. but i think they also did some in 1981, as the old sax player Duncan Kilburn first met him when they supported The Furs and he left the Furs in 1981. The hunt goes on! :)

Hey there @trippingflags. I recognised your name from the infamous thread on the Furs Forum in 2004 about the Sisters and it reminded me that I had a previously unfinished blog article on this issue, which I have published today in honour of the anniversary of the handover of the demo tape to Duncan Kilburn by Eldritch on 29th May 1981 :

great stuff Nikolas. i liked this quote in particular ' "Can't quite recall what soured things - may have been his lengthy stays in the States or just his general commitment to the Furs above us... he did have a habit of turning up wearing Mickey Mouse sweat shirts and pastel slacks" ... :) - yes, the furs forum was fun and then fb took over the world.
