however, before Apple won't show more flexibility and turn to a more component-oriented strategy,
their products are not all that recommendable when it comes to music recording and production,
despite their high quality ... as they make you pay and pay for each time a full new system, when
you just need an upgrade.

Nowadays, you should just buy a Snow Leopard disc from Apple and install it on your PC. It can co-exist in the same workstation with Windows and Linux, no sweat. Some tweaking is needed to install it, but the Hackintosh / OSX86 bases keep churning out instructions.
