Ringtones?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Sounds pretty good there, although I've just put on Anaconda and the song is in the key of B. I haven't listened to the recorded version for a long time, I'd forgotten about that guitar riff! I've only been listening to some demo versions of it recently which didn't have that riff in it.

Yeah, all the stuff I wrote above is for the Nokia 3330 (my phone) but it works the same on a lot of other Nokia phones as well.

Patrick Moore plays the Xylophone, you know. He's the only man who can wear a suit that is too big and too small for him at the same time.

hummmmm, it's all very nokia eh, anyone have ringtones for an ericsson?¿?

that's what i'm using at the moment, i had my ultra sexy nokia stolen, and lost my ericsson t20 in a bizzare mobile phone/pint of lager juggling accident, it wasn't pretty, but it was very very cruel...

anyway, i'm currently using an ericsson a1018s (now how f*cking g*th is that ;) ;) ) that i found in the back of a drawer. i don't see the point of buying another phone here as I have a nokia 3650 still boxed (complete bargain, only $300 + contract) and waiting for me in amerikkka (as i refused to pay for a triband phone) so that's what i'm stuck with for the next couple of months.

so, getting back on track, anyone know any ring tones for that?¿?¿?

cheers

Steady on chaps- less of the mockery.

Everyone knows that 'Patrick Moore' is the codename stamped on all of Von's flightcases- it being an anagram of 'AE Rock Import'. Anyone for a global conspiracy theory?

His name's also an anagram of 'armpit cooker' and 'atomic porker', both of which are slightly less relevant.

And not only Nokia. It works on all of them if you know the notes.

Honey I have no idea who Patrick Moore is. :)
Anyway, I don't play the xylophone, i just beat on it with a pen because I lost the original stick a looong time ago... and it's only an octave. Now make it more difficult!

My version of Burn, ripped off from Izzy's and Cell's . Do you now understand the concept of copyright? ;)

my phone has a recording function, so I sampled the end of 'Ribbons' and used that as a ringtone!

It's the Panasonic one on sale in Virgin stores at the moment if anyone cares...

Okay, I'm utterly, utterly, utterly illittarutt when it comes to mobiles or any technology whatsoever. Does anyone know anything that will work with a new polyphonic panasonic with vodaphone? Doesn't have to be polyphonic though. I tried some of the above nokia toons, but they didn't sound right at all. I know, I know, you would have told me so if I'd asked... Also, to demonstrate how stupid I am, I don't seem to be able to get the note-speed thing working, or the octave, for that matter, whatever one of those is. Yes, I'm musically illiterate too. Maybe I should just be locked up or something. If you use one of them complicated doorknob thingies I'll never get out of my cell...

A very stupid question: does it make a sense to think about Sisters' (Burn, Heartland...) ringtone if I got a Nokia 1100?
First of all I have to say I'm not a xylophone fan :innocent:

pikkrong- the 1100, says the nokia website, has a 'ringtones composer', at http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,8764,46549,00.html so it looks like you're in!

Cheers

If you want polyphonic Sisters ringtones on your poly-capable Nokia simply upload an existing Sisters midi via wap or email to your phone.

Most Nokia's have 4 channel poly, so you'll need to load the midi into a midi editor and select the 4 channels you want, drum, bass, guitar etc.

Save the new file making sure it's <12kb

go to http://www.tagtag.com which is a free wap hosting service

upload your midi, TagTag will give you a code

connect via wap on your Nokia to http://tagtag.com, enter the code and download the midi to your phone.

Easier still if you have email on your Nokia, just email the midi!
