andrew wanted to write a song for a stallone movie. does any

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Sadly my memory is full of holes, and more anoyingly, I can't find the interview is question. However, I 'm reasonably certain that Eldritch states he has spent rather more time having Sisters' songs removed from the soundtracks of crap films.
The film in question may well be Judge Dredd, in which case he probably objected to appearing on a soundtrack with The Cure and thereby mistaken for being a Goth. ;D

I seem to recall him claiming that he never gets enough notice to produce new material for soundtracks.
Similar to his claim that they don't do more charity based events due to a lack of prior notice.
The Leeds Off the Street event in '93 is the only one I can recall, in fact.

Funny..... i always thought that Sisters music would suite the odd film sooundtrack, and it would have been a great way of giving a little now and agin and staying in the public eye that bit more....

Im suprised this has never happened yet !

I do apologise for bringing back up an incredibly old subject but I was reading through the old stuff & spotted this...

I don't know if anyone knows but Vision Thing is actually played near the start of the unbelievably dire film Showgirls.

Its in a scene where some lass gets in a truck... & then gets out.

So there we go.

I seem to recall they wanted to the Dredd film (remember prog 666 of 2000ad anyone???) but when they found out it was stallone they pulled out, also....

He did say they had pulled their music from a couple of films on the grounds that the film was Cr@p - Waynes World for one....

But, but, didn't The Sisters do the theme from 'The Lost Boys - Cry Little Sister'
