Latest Sisters purchase

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

MR39TS This Corrosion T-Shirt to (finally) replace the one I was given by Steve Walker of Modern English when the track was released.

He was manager of Beggar's Banquet record shop in Kingston at the time, and I wore that shirt until it fell to pieces.

Found this cloth a couple of days ago. Mighty happy with it. The seller claimed it to be bought during the 90's in Germany. I'm guessing this is one of those bootleg things that flourished during that time at/outside concerts. Does anyone have any more info or confirmation?

I've bought this one about 3 years ago on EBAY (10€), but I'm sure it's from Germany around 1993. I think I should have bought it then for 9,90 DM in the "Müller" drugstore where it was next to a collection of Sisters posters (Floodland, Body and Soul..) and lots of Swinging Pig bootlegs. I decided to buy the "Amphetamine" bootleg...

Luckily, it's NOT a beach towel. So no need for alert here.

Thanks for the info! Got mine for a tenner as well.

It's a flag - I bought a few of them: Nephilim, Joy Division and Sisters. I only have the Nephilim one now.

To prove it's a flag there should be a pair of additional cloth ties on the top of the flag - meaning that one would fly it at 270 degrees off-axis ie sideways. Should have come in a rectangular card box with a large cellophane window and peg holes for POS purposes.

I got mine in/around 1993 too.

Discogs can be a blessing or a curse, depends on how you see it. My OCD didn't need to know about Gripper Teeth and Irish Pressings, now I need to track them all down   ;D

Recently bought a shut.the.f**k.up white hoodie off the bay. Also a Summer lyric t-shirt around the new head and star.

Probably from someone on here... ;-) Everyone needs a hobby, as I tell mrs ruffers.

you knowe what Ez-i saw that album last in around '86/87 and couldn't afford it. all the vinyl boots i own that arent gifts are 7" singles and thanks to the digital age i dont many cd boots that aren't cd-rs. so with a new goodman's deck onits way for my birthday it seemed only too perfect a circle-completer.

BTW- are you watching the chelskis vs blue mancs game? :notworthy:
