Wayne's Salad Daze
I'd assume he'd claim to be Yorks, which is a bit rich for a man utd fan!Pista wrote:Manchester has a cricket team?sam donut wrote:As someone who was born and bred in Manchester, I'd just like to say that football is rubbish anyway. I'm much more interested in his cricket loyalties.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I didn't feel dissed, I was just being silly. Similarly, though, I wasn't meaning to be insulting about football. Just a flippancy perhaps encouraged by one too many glasses of wine.
Sorry for taking the thread a bit off topic.

You should feel sorry for that shameful off-topic in this thread. It was casual converstation about changing fussball leaning and supporting only one team in your life - that's pretty much the same with favorite band - and you jumped with that rant.sam donut wrote:I didn't feel dissed, I was just being silly. As some of you know, I'm a Red from the Wirral side of Merseyside, so my scouse friends and family would deem me a plastic rather than an actual scouser, same or similar accent but not from within the old city itself. Although Liverpool FC is my longest lasting love, and I have inflicted this one true belief on my Leeds born children, I don't hate Mancs or proper Utd or City fans. The johnny come lately bandwagon jumpers are a bit tiresome, but all big clubs have them, even some small clubs like Evertoneastmidswhizzkid wrote:and when i diss mancs i only mean man utd/man city and their fans; not al people from manchester.sam donut wrote:As someone who was born and bred in Manchester, I'd just like to say that football is rubbish anyway. Now can I get back to laughing at the precious zealots who have cast La Huss as the antichrist...

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Loyalty has a value to some of us.

Loyalty and football (team) doesn't fail and fit in the same category in my dictionary, and are contradict, even though I live in country where - for some strange reason - football is almost a religion.
But I can undestand this and even admire (lack of believe and high scepticism are two of many of mine flaws).

Agreed. He’s no more or less objectionable than most of the twats in the world. It’s just that usually we don’t have to read tiresome books about your average twit.An wrote:Thanks for the interview too, I really don´t get the bashing for Hussey.
