The new guitarist

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

So not Gary then? Can we at least call him Gary?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Any word on Gary's backing vocals? Chris was a bit contentious among some in this area.

I was totally ok with this change at first as my only real requirements are, “able to play well enough to not be distracting and “doesn’t weird me out when I’m really, really high. The Instagram link has me on the fence about the later. :D

Seems like a good thing overall. Looking forward to the coming shows.

Well, he is at least trying the goff style

It all comes down to personal taste of course, but first impression is, I like this guy. Probably the most untypical Sister ever, but having listened through a number of his clips now, I find his style more complex and diverse than Ben or Chris. Could imagine him writing something good with Lisa Cuthbert, to take a Sisters-related name as example. Or hypothetically, Andrew Eldritch. Oh well.

It true, I listened his music (I Nation) and I liked it very much; it's not simple glam rock or pub rock/power rock.

Edith:
there's more of his music on bandcamp:

piano stream of concious style

We might have have someone intersting and with potential here. At least someone with wide variety of musical taste.

I agree completely, Bartek. Feels like the most talented since at least Pearson. Shame that we probably will have to continue listening to his own music to enjoy that talent, likely a bit too late for creativity in Sisters Camp.. but let's see, I think Andrew could be persuaded to go for at least one new song just for fun. It's a long tour for just playing the same same all the time.

Maybe he could help to finish (if it's needed, if it's not done) Far Parade.
Such low expectation I have.

By the power invested in me, the new fella is hereby officially called Gary, whether he wants to be or not.
