Wayne's Salad Daze

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Indeed, as forever and always, it boils down to one's perception on who had the favoured grasp on reality :)

Absolutely ... :) ... it always depends on one's own ground and angle of view ... so, after all, there's an endless variety of truths ... ...

But here come "the majority" ... always asking for their pound of flesh ... *sigh ...

So it is, just the question which truth is the most worth to be believed.

Just a thought... Temporary loss of reality - isn't that the whole point of reading a book? Step outside our own reality for a while and into the "reality" of a book.

Anyway, no insult taken. ;D

Anyone else listened to the audio download that came with the book, with a few demos thrown in? Dance On Glass is pretty-much the version we know, lyric-wise.

It's just that Andy had the better songs and the better airbrush on rock music...Wayne had a crap vision...Jim Steinman! Come On!
Von wins but Wayne should have.
This is probably the best comparison of the two I've read. To be cool you need a certain nonchalance, watching AE in interviews always makes uncomfortable viewing....his nerviness makes him stiff and snidey.

I would like to add though that AE is incredidbly photogenic which is also in his favour.

True in a certain way...have seen Wayne a few days ago at Krefeld. Can you imagine :von: sit down in front of about 120 people, playing a wild array of his and other 's songs, all the time talking to and interacting with the audience ? Hell, I have been to Sisters concerts where he hardly ever moved out of the dry ice fog. Still he wins...I would give tickets for 10 Mish concerts for 1 Sisters concert.
