It might have been posted on here before.. but are any of you guys going to Wacken Open Air? The boys will be playing there. It seems like they are being booked for one additional metal festival per year.
The Sisters' fun juggernaut drives on through 2019, with a little new chrome and a lot of vintage attitude.
It still comes from northern England.
It still sounds like supercharged industrial psychedelia.
We have some old songs, some new songs, a few blinding lights and very many smoke machines.
People seem to like the colours. Or the energy. Or something.
Metal Hammer says, "The Sisters Of Mercy are ... a lean glittering groove machine for the New Millennium."
That's not going to stop us.
The Sisters Of Mercy are:
Chris Catalyst - guitars
Ben Christo - guitars
Andrew Eldritch - vocals
Nurse - nurse to the Doktor
Doktor Avalanche - drum and bass
Chris Catalyst eats daleks, so he plays the guitar.
Ben Christo loves you, so he plays the guitar.
Andrew Eldritch would like to believe in redemption, so he sings the songs very quietly.
Nurse is the right hand Of God.
Doktor Avalanche is God.

And still nothing on the official site or twitter. And no, im not surprised. Their antique policy to not announce any gigs before all the gigs are booked...or "confirmed", or whatever, are just looking more and more stupid each year. Now we have a sold out (except Hamburg...still) heavy-metal summer festival tour with no point to even mention on the official site anymore.
Edit: Theres aparently still some hope to see The Sisters att Hellfest though! But don't expect to find that information om any official Sisters-sources! You know, it has to "confirmed" first!

First Hellfest, now Wacken? What's going on is the only way to see The Sisters in 2019 to go to a hugely overrated, overpriced mainstream Euro metal fest?

We are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. But not goth. No, we are not.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
As both a Sisters fan and a metal fan, I wonder if I might offer a silver lining.
Wacken often stream and film at least one tune from their acts, sometimes two (one to put on Youtube as a promo for the yearly Wacken DVD, and another that you have to buy the disc to watch).
So it could, if nothing else, be the case that these instantly sold-out metal festivals they're playing at will result in some pro-shot footage of the band for once.
Sisters are playing tomorrow night at 10:45 PM - after UFO and Sweet. Nice running order
