TSoM to perform new Bond theme tune

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

If it isn't true then it bloody well should be. Seriously - how difficult would it be to tweak the lyrics to No Time To Cry to ensure that :von:'s cats are well-supplied with Whiskas for years to come? In the absence of new material he could release an album of covers of previous theme tunes - who among us wouldn't pay cash money to hear his rendition of Goldfinger, Living Daylights, or View to a Kill?

I actually suggested No Time to Die with the sisters doing the title in a Bond podcast a few weeks ago.

A Bond-theme has to be archly, almost comically dramatic. Dominion, maybe, at half-speed with several more layers of Steinman? Maybe something could be done with Ribbons? Under the Gun definitely and perhaps unaltered although some additional sweeping big bass strings wouldn't hurt.

Under the Gun is a great title for a Bond movie. Better even than Quantum of Solace.

Absolutely! It's dark, it's rough, it starts softly and ends dramatically ... and the lyrics are great. Perfect.
