The blackout drape getting caught on the mirror above the stage was pure Spinal Tap and very, very funny  Alice was particularly mean and sinister & I achieved out-of-body during Marian. Show Me On The Doll (love that full dark title) still my favourite of the new tracks. Still trying to figure out what the “FID DEF on the t-shirt means... Bring on tonight’s encore :notworthy:
FID DEF is abbreviated from the latin 'Fidei Defensor' - 'Defender of the Faith'

Traditionally used by monarchs and it appears on British coins.

Good night seeing friends in strange places. Camden Enterprise was fab, spoiled us. Sisters rocked, thankfully more heavy rock now as they had been veering too metal recently. Von's voice, though heavily reliant on backing vocals still, seems stronger than last few years. New songs have promise but obv works in progress, Show Me is the strongest and, to me, Better Reptile the weakest. Love to EPW, Smiley and Elamanamou as always. See y'all soon ladies x

Read thru the above now, yeah Fid Def is defender of the faith, as in the monarch since Henry VIII and the reformation, see I did listen in history at Rocky High lol

just got back from the 2 nights, more of the 2nd in the relevant thread.
so: the sound was not bad as such it was just too quiet and Dylans level was particulary low. but by Suzanne the levels and volume was sorted. Andrews voice was audible unstrained and consistantly strong throughout. i think having an instrumental in the middle of the set is a much better idea with regard to it giving his voice a little rest than at the start of ther encore. this was 'instrumental' by the way not 'kickline'.
the other 2 new tunes sounded good and went down well. as Ruffers said 'Show me' works much better in the flesh rather than through tinny pc speakers and i got it too.
Dylan 'the Dude' Smith is a Rock Star and born to be a Sister. as well as posturing and posing you could tell he was really interested in seeing how we reacted to him and when i mimed 'its too quiet turn it up' to him a couple of times bless him he actually took notice went and fiddled with his stage amp.
Ben and he have much more of a stage rapport than Chris and Ben had and i think its fair to say Ben is thriving from the new line-up. Von was smiling and happy and Ravey Davey is fucking 'aving it! faceless nurse no more- Dave is most defiitely a member of the band and adds to the overall stage charisma.
Marian played at the right tempo; I Was Wrong and Something Fast played as full songs with arrangement same as on VT. think ive covered everything.

and of course meeting up with all you lovely HLers would be a good enough reason to go even if the sisters were s**t.
meeting the more than lovely Vanessa/Elamanamou in the flesh for the first time and longtime HLer AndyTG for the first time were particular highlights. 8) :von:

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Who knows if any will? If they do, it'll be whenever the folk that did the legwork and actually recorded them can be bothered to do so. In the current climate of boots from here appearing for sale elsewhere, there's every chance they never will, and there's no arguing with that.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love a boot of the 2nd Roundhouse gig, but as ever any recordings are a bonus not an expectation. Keep your eye out and fingers crossed, but don't hold yer breath. :)

In the meantime you can try cobbling together your own from youtube videos, those have been pretty damn good for this tour.

Totally agree with all of this and we were in the same spot. Great to see you again Lee! And all the other lovey folks too.

2nd night was by far superior and the boys really did feel like a fully fledged unit on stage.
(my only disappointment was no sign of Von's glittery blouse  )

Onward to the Australian shows now, which I am predicting will be smashing. Small venues in Perth and Brizzie will be particularly fab. The Forum in Melbourne is not the best - The Corner suited well last time - but it will still be brilliant :D will let you know!

I love the interactions between Von and Ben in IWW in particular. They really do seem to enjoy performing together more these days... :)

The Sisters Of Mercy - Full Concert Roundhouse 2019 London Multiple Phone Footage Angles 20/09/2019

Multicam from concert. I realise it when he asked me permission to use my footage in comment. ;D
Hi, first of all i must apologize for asking in this way but youtube doesnt make it very easy for other youtubers to message each other and this was the only option i could think of. Ive made the full concert from this Roundhouse gig into a video, well nearly the full setlist using peoples phone footage from the friday and saturday nights and was asking your permission to make the video public with your footage in it. Long story short, i was there on the friday night with some friends and one of them wasnt feeling to great so we ended up sitting on the outside balcony bar on the 2nd floor and missed the entire show except the first two songs and This Corrosion at the end. So what i thought of to do originally was to just make a playlist using the footage here on youtube, but then thought i could do better and make the full show for her using multiple angles where possible.. Ive made the video public for now for you to see but will have to take it down and maybe do a re-edit if you or any of the other youtubers dont allow permission. My intention was to have the video unlisted and send each youtuber whos footage i used the link in a private message for them to hopefully approve. Im not doing this for monetary gain or likes, etc and have nothing to do with filmaking, except for my channel on here, which is mostly videogame stuff, but she liked it and asked if i could make it public, so i did a re-edit and added credits at the end of all users footage used. We dont live near each other btw, we are on apposite sides of the country nearly. So yes, thats it. may i use your footage please?
