Thanks for the heads upDr Avalanche wrote:I just downloaded the audio from this gig from Dimeadozen and put it in the sharing section.
What a beautiful place. I took a few photos of the interior - statues and a star lit ceiling and, as I was warned by a local, “the most majestic bathrooms imaginable.
(I’ll pause for a moment to acknowledge that I’m not likely to be as wordy and effusive as I’ve been during past tours, but that has nothing to do with the gig. I haven’t quite been myself for the last year... which I suppose is long enough to assume a new self.)
I didn’t find the show to be as smoke filled as the ones from decades ago at all. It pumped along with the colors and the beat in several places and worked well without dominating the foreground. The sound is very good and clear (with a few minor exceptions from where I was standing...next to a sound critic it seems..) and there were a few tweaks and twists that played well and added interest. As you’ve heard, it’s a great performance this tour.
The new things: Show Me truly does have some weight to it, and Better Reptile is a good addition. Dylan balances Ben in a good way and both can work a crowd and put on a show. Andrew is well-supported and delivers a solid performance. I didn’t see the “Dave brought to the forefront element I’d read about, but his energy is always great.
I got a surprise request from someone to record/FaceTime Vision Thing. That may be coming. In the meantime, I uploaded this to my sparse YouTube channel. Hope it works: https://youtu.be/htZAWzarl9I

This was one of my most enjoyable Sisters gigs. A great venue, a great crowd, fantastic sound and lights.
I was right under Ben’s mic and I have to say that I had not appreciated until last night what a great guitarist he is.
Thanks to the locals who made it a special night including the girl beside me who danced, jumped and screamed through the set.
Quite enjoyed the local support band - Cash as well.
Top night out.
Thanks Sarah for the cool vid 🙃

It is Ben’s - it got ripped when Dylan knocked the fan over with his HUGE feet...lol

The Melbourne show had a bit of a different atmosphere - not as hyper-excited as Perth (that may just be me though) and not as rambunctious as the Roundhouse.
The Forum looks pretty, but it always feels odd to me as the stage is so far back and a bit high.... I was front row on Ben's side just near ROBBIE... (hello!). I posted a few pics on FB. The sound was generally pretty good, I agree Davey was a little left out last night. It was great to chat with the lads again after, they are a lovely lot.
Really looking forward to my final show of the tour in Brisbane

Hihi, nice reviews ... ... thank you all for the links to these press review and your own ones... It's so lovely to see people utterly enjoy The Sisters' gigs
and feel joy and pleasure at the end and afterwards... ... and obviously, The Sisters are having a great time on stage as well... ...
despite all the effort it takes to travel a whole continent within 5 days and after a full European tour that was no less demanding ...
and ever more unshackling and relieving ... ...

No you didn't. It's just they go shooting off the side of the screen so I made them 640x480 to fit a little betterOcean Moves wrote:thanks. sorry if I'd broken any rules by posting 1920x1080Pista wrote:Nice
