just got back from the 2 nights, more of the 2nd in the relevant thread.
so: the sound was not bad as such it was just too quiet and Dylans level was particulary low. but by Suzanne the levels and volume was sorted. Andrews voice was audible unstrained and consistantly strong throughout. i think having an instrumental in the middle of the set is a much better idea with regard to it giving his voice a little rest than at the start of ther encore. this was 'instrumental' by the way not 'kickline'.
the other 2 new tunes sounded good and went down well. as
Ruffers said 'Show me' works much better in the flesh rather than through tinny pc speakers and i got it too.
Dylan 'the Dude' Smith is a Rock Star and born to be a Sister. as well as posturing and posing you could tell he was really interested in seeing how we reacted to him and when i mimed 'its too quiet turn it up' to him a couple of times bless him he actually took notice went and fiddled with his stage amp.
Ben and he have much more of a stage rapport than Chris and Ben had and i think its fair to say Ben is thriving from the new line-up. Von was smiling and happy and Ravey Davey is fuc
king 'aving it! faceless nurse no more- Dave is most defiitely a member of the band and adds to the overall stage charisma.
Marian played at the right tempo; I Was Wrong and Something Fast played as full songs with arrangement same as on VT. think ive covered everything.
and of course meeting up with all you lovely HLers would be a good enough reason to go even if the sisters were s**t.
meeting the more than lovely
Vanessa/Elamanamou in the flesh for the first time and longtime HLer
AndyTG for the first time were particular highlights.
