I think the Enmore has about 2500 standing capacity, which is more than the Forum (Melbourne venue).
1910 Theatre. Large standing area downstairs, seating upstairs.
Newtown area is a bit of a hipster enclave, plus a sizable gay and lesbian community. Bars, restaurants and weirdos abound.

Hi all, think it was the same setlist as the last few, but it actually bwas f**king awesome, have seen them several times since 1992, this might have been the site I was waiting for, and I think I recorded it, which I will send to Mr circle room, as he is better at sharing stuff than me, if the recordings worked, but, bugger me, what a night
smug as hell, they're coming...

I was front by stage and left.
Was a stonking show, better than Melbourne yesterday for me.
Sound was good and solid where I was standing. Guitarists had fun during oncores.
Lots of crowd participation front centre, towards end of set.
Reminded me of some gigs in London 97~ 2000.

(It’s killing me to see the attendees on Facebook. Between Halloween and being in an area with a high concentration of alternative types, prosopagnosia/face blindness won and I didn’t recognize any locals. I tried... Hopefully Robbie can find Splintered Thing tomorrow!)
The area is funky and quirky in that way that encourages individualism (as long as you choose funk and quirk individually, of course.) The streets are lined with independent shops like record stores and clothing boutiques with a comfortable and appealing aesthetic. Even the raw hostility of the woman running the dumpling shop across from my hotel seems like a charming hipster detail.
The Forum itself is pretty large (and freezing cold!) and it was sold out. I didn’t arrive early, but still ended up in front. I’ve noticed that in Australia, an awful lot of people are seeing the sisters for the first time. Most I’ve talked to have been very happy after the show, and that was certainly true last night.
I perceived more smoke, and either the size of the stage or my angle meant that the lighting high-lighted Dave’s energy in the manner I’d read about. The energy was very good, with a technical/timing blip or two that didn’t effect the overall delivery. Dylan really does add to the considerable onstage chemistry.
Alice was a standout, as was FALAA and the crowd was crazy about all the encores. There was a decent amount of jostling and at least one asshole, but overall it was pleasant. Everyone I’ve met has been open and good-natured.
Afterward, we headed to a rooftop bar where they forced us down a level with each passing hour. Somewhere around the seventh level of hell, a bartender was kind enough to attempt a martini. On a related note, I have a headache.
Day to explore before heading to Brisbane. Which I’m told is pronounced “briz bin. Also, it’s “mel burn. Learning a lot.

The Enmore was another great venue. Stood closer to the middle, which on hindsight was not the best place especially during the encores when a minority decided to jump about with elbows flying. Mind the lady next to me gave them a piece of her mind etc.
Sound was not quite as good as Melbourne but still very good. Band were certainly enjoying although with AE it is not always easy to tell.
Band in the same hotel but missed them as they checked out early the morning after.
Arrived in Brisbane for leg three.
