Oh Yeah

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Nice standing. Do you wanna borrow a pirate ROTK DVD? Watching all three back to back is a heartwarming battle of endurance!

Personally, I'm waiting for the special edition DVD of ROTK to throw a sickie and do a Lord Of The Rings special editions all-dayer.

As Paddy says, mmmmm

Of course, of course, but the boot fills the time til next December quite nicely. By all accounts, the Spesh Edition is gonna be huge, several hours worth (or so Sir McKellen said). And what beyond that - the gold plated triple lim edition DVD boxset with Mirando Otto's underwear booktidy. Can't wait.

Anyone any idea if Sir Ian's idea of hassling Peter Jackson until he agrees to make The Hobbit is likely to bear fruit?

Or what about Silmarillion film(s) Practically unfilmable, but then I thought that about LOTR...

Silmarillion should be a TV series

Apparently New Line have the rights for the hobbit, but Jackson has refused.... as for the silmarillion.... its a buch of stories rather than just one.... cant see it..

There was a 1970s animated Hobbit? Why wasn't I told?

Are you sure you don't mean the abortive animated LOTR? The one that finishes about halfway through The Two Towers?

The Silmarillion would need at least three films; one each for Beren & Luthien, Turin, Tuor/ Gondolin/ Earendil. And then another for everything else ;D

It's not the animated LotR, but the Hobbit. I've got a DivX of it at home and it's really very bad :urff: It looks like someone has shared it on Soulseek.

Do you mean you intend to spend 4 days at home with just your cat and some movies? Isn't that depressong? What about throwing a party instead? (Don't worry I'm not saying I'd like to be invited because I'm too far anyway.)

I for one don't think it's depressing at all. I love being on my own, I do it far too seldom. Spending quality time on your own is gold.

no party, I've just finished decorating the kitchen and back bedroom last weekend, and I like it the way it is  but if I did throw a party of course you'd all be invited :D

I'm going out for dinner tomorrow night with a friend and will no doubt visit the local pub. but it's a relaxing weekend planned, beer, beer, beer, movies, beer, sleep and keeping Elise amused :D

Hey, the fact that I asked the question doesn't mean I find it depressing myself. :) Besides, time spent with cats is never wasted (Colette).

A half eaten mega kebab special, you say? I trust you had it cold for breakfast ;D

Mmmmm beer festival for me yez'day. First beer tried was called Gothic, and it were gorgeous. Followed by a curry, made from what they claimed to be chicken but was really threads of plastic congealed into cubes. Then to a rock pub to see a friend's band. And then home for port.

Well, sounds like more fun than my weekend.

It was all so promising until the friend I was supposed to be visiting in Cambridge phoned to cancel because she was ill.

Ending up finishing work on Saturday, coming home just being bored and cold for the rest. Sunday was one of those horrible lack of inspiration days where I couldn't summon up the enthusiasm to do anything to assuage my ennui.

Disappointing. Must try harder
