The Great Heartland Biscuit Thread™

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm surprised it took so long to get onto teabagging.

Best before dates? Best before dates is something high in fibre, else them things'll go through you like prunes through a short grandmother. I once ate a whole tray of them (standard Christmas fare back in the old country), and I swear I shat my own pelvis shortly thereafter.

Those kinds of dates don't sound like they were best before, during or after. The one saving grace about custard creams is that I've never heard that they can induce such distressing symptoms, more likely a sense of mild disappointment.

Good tea, like so many other things, should never be hurried. Therefore I could give a tinker's cuss whether it is served from a samovar, a teapot, or from the skulls of my enemies - I'm not russian tea for anyone.

I think the Russians' problem is that they've heard that proper tea is theft.

I wonder if Russians have debates about whether or not the polonium goes in before or after the milk?
Cheers.
