I bet he's the sort of bloke that goes red in the face and shouts at his own fist.

Yeah, shoot the gingers too!
Scandalous. This money should be given to the healthcare and frontline workers instead.

It's not as bad as it sounds. It's money for their staff to work at home; laptops, office chairs, headsets, all these things need paying for. However it's true that some MPs (*cough*JeremyCorbyn*cough*) have donated their extra 10K to the NHS.Scardwel wrote:Scandalous. I think what rankles though is that the advice was "If you can work from home, you should."markfiend wrote:It's not as bad as it sounds. If these people can't work from home then why are they given a bunch of cash to enable them to? Pretty sure there are plenty of people who could work from home if they had the gear. They're not getting a handout as far as I know.

If MP's have been able to redirect this "grant" away from it's intended usage so easily it just again demonstrates the lack of control over the parliamentary expenses system, I wish my expenses were as badly administered. OK, any demonstration of support for the NHS is obviously well intentioned but it merely highlights a much greater wrong in our system.
