Ticketbastard

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Although this is COVID- related, it affects any ticket purchases made via the thieving sh!te hawks at Ticketbastard & I thought it deserved its own thread.

While no-one was watching they sneakily changed their refund policy

If you have bought via them, do check what the status of your tix are.
Cheers.

I believe that is for USA only at the moment,in the UK the current policy is hidden away: "We can’t offer any exchanges or refunds if you’re event is going ahead on the date originally planned" and can be found here
https://help.ticketmaster.co.uk/hc/en-u ... -exchange-
I have screenshot it and will use it to claim a refund from my Credit Card if they start messing me about

Yeah, I think the European consumer protections are maybe slightly different to those elsewhere.
But if they're doing that to the US site on the sly you can bet they'll try something similar in other regions
Cheers.

On Ticketweb (owned by Ticketmaster) I submitted a Refund Request last Month because Wendy James at King Tuts was rescheduled to September, on the very same Day as 'Lords of the Land' (an all day Metal Festival). I received a reply 24 hours later -

I know that not all Companies adhere to the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, so either that 3 Working Days ends tomorrow or i'll give them until this Friday..... :x

Hi David,

Thank you for your email.

I'm sorry that you can't make the event. If you'd like a refund, just return your tickets to the address below. We'd recommend sending them back securely, as we can't refund them if they go missing or arrive after the event.

Ticketmaster Customer Services
PO Box 798
Manchester

Once we have them back, we’ll issue a refund onto your card – the amount should appear back in your account within 5 days of us receiving the tickets.

If there's anything else we can help with, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Your opinion matters! If you have a spare moment, please consider leaving a review of my service here!

Apparently, under new covid-time legialstion, anyone who've bought ticked for cancelled gig in PL can wait up to 180 days for return of money, so my advice, to everyone here who got this issue and paid by credit card: use charge back - it's gonna be months faster.
