haha yeah I did that the first week, seems not to be sustainable so trying bring some sense back to my non existent work/study lifesam donut wrote:This is a much more sensible answer than mine. I have a gig in the US end of August, I dont expect that to go ahead either, so i think you have to wait a bit longer before starting to commit. I think if the gigs won't go ahead they will just cancel and concentrate on the 2021 gigs, or at least I assume so.
Sisters 2020
I think that's absolutely fair enough!sziamiau wrote:at the end whatever we do I just dont wanna die. selfish of me I know
Whatever happens, even if it isn't this year I hope to be alive for at least one more Sisters tour.

From very lively to awfully quiet? Yes, we have been spoiled with updates lately, lyrics and all sorts, and "confirmed" (in this case rescheduled) gigs do take its amount of time, or at least used to, but now there´s also a couple of cancellations. Still nothing on the official page. I hope Von´s ok?

SIX WAYS TO SUNDAY (2020)
Nothing much outside
There might be lights
Blues and twos because it's Monday
I have the right to fall down stairs
I have the right to hurt my face
I have the right to know my place
I have the right to be elsewhere
I have the right to be upstate
I have the right to wait
Six ways to Sunday

EYES OF CALIGULA (2020)
no new jerusalem
there is no us; there's only them
this is not my map at all
wrapped in sugar for her pains
no, she says, I'm wearing stains
she do mascara fail
there is a wall and you will wail
remember what you can
rain on the face
where the dogs ran
crippled all in scented lace
there were miners in the dark
there's needles in the park
eyes of caligula look on
we had wool and we had steel
we had liverpool, not ever much your england
now the chrome and we should kneel
in a home where we're not real
eyes of caligula look on
there was a north
there was a north
eyes of caligula look on

Wonder if that means they waiting for/anticipating further postponements.
Speaking of odd things, it's kind of amusing to see all these website updates yet the 2019 dates are still listed. Kinda odd, no?
Assumed it was because they couldn't be arsed moving them to the past gigs section.Wilkstein wrote:

You are what you drink - I'm a bitter man!
In my view it's kind marketing/promotion of the band, like: looks, who many gigs, where, which festivals we've played.
Yes, I agree. They could also have had that Sold out sign they used to have before since so many gigs were sold out last tour.Bartek wrote:In my view it's kind marketing/promotion of the band, like: looks, who many gigs, where, which festivals we've played.
One or two countries might be open again by autumn, but I'd have to agree the sensible option would be to wait until they can be rescheduled into a coherent tour, preferably at a time when public confidence is high enough for people to be happy mixing inside concert halls. Dates in half-empty venues will not inspire anyone.sziamiau wrote:well it seem there is a good chance of having all the dates postponed to 2021. It must be so frustrating for the band, too, to currently have some dates rescheduled for the autumn. There must be a world of difference financially between the band rescheduling because they think it's sensible, and the venue having to reschedule because the government makes them stay closed.
I have a lot of sympathy for artists and venues in the present situation and in the future when suddenly everyone wants to tour at the same time in a world with fewer open venues.
I'm assuming the rest of this year is off, though.

Ha! Well if the world turns out ok, let's all have a cup of tea or coffee in the cat cafe in Maastricht and you can predict the future!
