1984 Peel Session on Spotify

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Not available in Sweden.
Any idea how to get it here, or anywhere else outside the UK?

Yes, but I still would need a UK credit card for the downloads...

Still annoying that none of these new appearances seem to be available in Ireland. Not showing up on Spotify or Apple Music.

Yeah, it's obviously a BBC licensing restriction which is a bit of a pain for sure. I can't imagine Von is too happy about his fans in Belgium or Germany not being able to get them either.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

It's interesting to look at the girl's spotify figures. They have around half a million monthly listeners. That's very respectable. For context, the cure have about 10m and New Order around 5m.

450,000 odd thousand isn't HUGE by global standards, but it's very very respectable. That back catalogue is listened to by A LOT of people.

I feel like there's some sort of trend buried in the listener/follower ratio but I'm too lazy to dig into it.

No, You don't need a UK credit card. Use Qobuz and buy it from there. They both accept credit card and Paypal. Ofc you need a VPN. I am also based in Sweden, works like a charm for me.

Some Obvious math: when multiplying the figures with the number of years without a new record, who is then the number one? Once more, louder, who is it?

Don’t worry, the formula is safe and tested by trumps campaign leader.
Please do not separate joy division from new order. They are also close from being disqualified anyways for using third reich references too often.
Don’t worry, the math here is safe

Likewise elsewhere in the EU. :)

I assume 1982 Peel will be along to complete the set soon enough.

I probably have these tracks on two or three bootlegs and separate files in various quality, would LOVE to see Amazon.com make these available. Maybe now that Trump is gonzo.

Likewise 7 Digital and the other usual download sources. Very nice to finally have them in lossless formats.

I found the '83 and '84 "albums" on my Spotify.
'85 is not there.
'83 has got Burn labelled as Heartland, Heartland labelled as Valentine, and Valentine labelled as Burn. Jolene they got right.

Thanks Spotify.
