covers you'd like to see

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

As in song covers. Been a lot over the years. Which would you fancy to seeing next?

Somewhat in line with AE's stated goal of being a gay icon, I propose Sinaed O'Connor - No Man's Woman.

I think I’ve commented on this before, but I’d love to hear them do “Margaritas & Cocaine, by the Rhyolite Sound. Hell, the song halfway sounds like a Sisters’ tune to my ears already: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RjSQTAqUGls

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

i never understand bands doing such standard covers but what do i know..in the merry old city of leicester for yonks any band who wanted to be taken at all seriously did a version of i wanna be your dog.i fucrking detested that song in the end cuz as a drummer you never really got a say and it was so dull and predictable . compared to other stooges songs like dirt or loose which in my opinon were far superior and nobody really evber tried to do.

.my real problem with roadfrunner is if the pistols did it dont bother. nobody's stepping stone is any good nor is anyones substitue. f**k it off and cover a lesser copied pistols song if you must.
However i could never get anyone to do "sattelite" which is the best pistols song that isnt on "...bollocks." IMO

Concur!
or something by Scissors Sisters
or Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus (they could easily turn it into madness maniac psychodelic song like Floor II).

Turbo Lover would be an interesting cover and challenging as well as Halford sings up high and :von: has lower frequencies ;D

I'd like to see the cover of the new album, but would settle for a single initially.

didn't Chris Catalyst reveal on his interweb phone-in thingy that the music for the Far Parade became Black Sail?
