Hold the front page! Some news happened. Film at 11

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

actually, that's not a random BS study, if you're a linguist. the guy i heard talk spoke perfect sense. it's all about interpretation of text messages with statements, not formal writing. if you write 'we're out of milk' it's a factual, neutral statement. 'we're out of milk.' is not neutral and can have several connotations - annoyance, blame, finality, 'what you gonna do about it' could all be implicit. have caught myself thinking about putting full stops in messages myself because of this for ages, and i'm no spring chicken.
more prevalent in the young because they've always had text messaging, and we haven't.

It’s the way the article pitches it as “ooh look the kids are scared of their own shadows”.

Am just sick of their s**t.

It is definitely sad that has happened. That worries all of us who have massive oak trees standing next to our houses. We are supposed to get 80mph winds in the next couple of hours but I hope it weakens

Ah, ok good to know. I also never heard a trash can called a wheelie bin, but now I think I will use that term when I’m racing mine down the driveway to the trash truck and it pops a wheelie, lol. I couldn’t imagine the druggies in my area using it for snorting, it smells :urff:

Ahhh, weddings: beautiful decorations, crying relatives, a wedding cake that shows the bride armed with a rifle, dragging away her dead husband...wait, what?
