Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.
And in contrast, I've just taken delivery of a new batch of old progs...
It was absolutely criminal that they printed the episodes of Firekind in the wrong order.
Edit to add: I wonder if James Cameron had read Firekind before he made Avatar.

The Strontium Dog hardback came today, reprinting all Johnny Alpha's early adventures from Starlord, including full-colour reproductions of all colour pages. I've been looking forward to this, so that's what I'll be reading later.

I am looking for a good book about Chinese civilization's progress from ancient times up to Ming Dynasty period.
If someone has a recommendation about the subject please provide book reference
Thank you in advance

I’m about halfway through now. This is positively brutal, but I can’t put it down.
And I finished it yesterday. Highly recommended, but you've got to have a pretty strong stomach for some of it.
Just about to start on mine
It is positively brutal. What a fantastic read though. I had serious difficulty putting it down.
He cast himself in such a bad light he made some of the other low life's seem like Mary Poppins.
I wasn't actually aware of Screaming Trees output to be honest. Had a listen after reading it and wasn't a fan.
His solo stuff however is great.

Enjoyed reading the Book earlier this year and was very surprised at the depths his Drug Addiction took him.
Yeah, the Screaming Trees to my ears was mostly the work of the Conner Brothers. But his own Solo Work is just......Wow!
Currently reading.... (as recommended by many Fans of Folk Horror)
For pleasure: Trevor’s Waiting for Another War which arrived today.
For work (but also for pleasure): Aristotle’s Rhetoric.

Apologies for the rampant self-promo but my sixth horror novel Greyfriars Reformatory is published tomorrow & I still get a wee bit excited by these fleeting George McFly moments.
Re-reading The Dice Man for the first time in about twenty years. Feels different this time. With the way the world appears to be I'm halfway to picking up a set and seeing where it takes me....

Last argument of kings by Joe Abercrombie , the first law books are terrific
They sure are, along with Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard series and Richard Morgans A Land Fit for Heroes trilogy. All of Abercrombies subsequent work has been fantastic too.
