Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Didn’t find a thread for pods, and it’s a medium I enjoy a lot.

I’m not necessarily cutting a rug to them, so it wouldn’t go there.

I’m not necessarily watching them, so it wouldn’t go there either.

And I’m obviously not reading them (other than the show notes) so it wouldn’t fit there.

Anyway, I’ve been enjoying this series on the history of Joy Division on YooChoobs. A band who’s music I really enjoy but who’s history I know very little of. Highly entertaining and informative

I've never been a podcast fan, and I couldn't give you a reason why, but this week I have been listening to one on Spotify which is essentially a couple of guys talking through the latest episode of Wandavision. For 2 hours. And if it's taught me anything, it's that my knowledge of the Marvel universe is much poorer than I thought.

Continuing the Marvel theme, been listening to ‘The Nerd Room’ podcast. Lots of WandaVision coverage, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc.

I loved the Transmissions podcast. But then again anything JD related floats my boat to be fair.
I listen to a few different one's (while running or walking the dog).
Unexplained is probably my favourite.
The Harrowing is worth a listen, as The New Yorker fiction pod.

Great recommends. Checked them and they look well worth a listen...I just need a job so I can get an hour commute each way to have some proper listening time. All I get to listen to lately is the 5Live Football Daily

Chris Watson – what a dude…

Part of the original lineup of the truly legendary Cabaret Voltaire (and a major influence on the early Human League during their time together in Sheffield), his destiny was always connected to his love of sound recording. He has a particular and passionate interest in recording the wildlife sounds of animals and habitats from around the world. As a freelance composer and sound recordist Chris also specialises in creating spatial sound installations which feature a strong sense and spirit of place.

His television work includes many programmes in the David Attenborough ‘Life’ series including ‘The Life of Birds’ which won a BAFTA Award for ‘Best Factual Sound’ in 1996, and as the location sound recordist for the BBC series ‘Frozen Planet’ which also won a BAFTA Award for ‘Best Factual Sound’ (2012).

He probably possesses the world’s largest library of natural world recordings, often captured using devices he himself has created. He also lectures around the world, and he and Martyn have collaborated on various projects over the years, including the astounding Sound Oasis project in the centre of Mexico City, and Martyn’s Future of Sound tour featuring Illustrious’s unique Immersive three-dimensional sound system.
