RSD BBC Sessions release

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Nice. Now if only it said Live At Leeds 2020 instead of the BBC 82-84 bit, I might actually go buy some decks to play it on. Undeniably pretty though :)

Oh nice. That’s a good album cover. My decks are in the attic somewhere but I might still buy this.

Do you think Von had anything to do with this? Like, someone would have had to design that cover, and to do that they’d need to at least have a passing knowledge of the whole snake thing.

Who knew we'd get a new Sisters release (I know it's not really new but you know what I mean) in the year of 2021! I'm just curious if there will be any cool images or images that might make their way onto the sleeve. Regardless i'm here for it :notworthy: :notworthy:

It'd be far funnier if WEA released 'Go Figure'.

I imagine that where they went wrong was asking for Von's input. Most record labels realised that was a bad idea decades ago..

£42?

What do you get if you multiply six by nine?

£42 being discussed as a cheeky price and yet others here don't bat an eye at talking about €1000+ for a copy of the frankly terrible 'Damage Done' single. The obsession remains strong even away from Farcebook.

Should have done 3x 45rpm 12"s, could have got the price up to £60

Another RSD rip off, another Warners rip off, how do they justify the silly prices?. oh because dicks like me keep buy the s**t they throw at me
Why spend 42 quids on this when I can get The Floodland box set thingy for 44Quids/euros/ zlotys (or as I have just noticed The Goonies OST on picture disk). It's not like we've never heard these recordings before. Another for the completist, which to be fair, is great for them and would half, kinda signal the pull of new Sisters releases and if its worth Eldritich releasing anything else without losing a fuckton of ca$h.

Good point. And I'm not even going to mention the absurd prices some bootlegs sell for.

Well, obviously I did just mention it but you know what I mean.

I’d buy this on CD to have something physical.
I’ve not downloaded everything on iTunes as there were issues with mislabelled tracks.
If the Cadiz thing actually happened with bonus tracks then I think that’s as good as it gets for a heritage act.
