WTF is a CD acetate?
Reported for a few different reasons. Counterfeit media, copyright, fraudulent listing.

Yeah. That's a clincher right?

Yeah, I guess it's the hard drive with the WAVs he downloaded a few years ago that has gathered a little dust ...
and who would have thought of that given the fact that Australian bootleggers did not waste much time afterwards ...

The mislabelled Kid Jenson tracks on iTunes don’t look like they will be corrected.
Doesn’t bode well for the LP release.

I'd sooner have the tracks out there, even if mislabelled, to be honest. It's true that the neglectful mismanagement of the Sisters back catalog has been shocking, but the other side of the coin is that if one gets Von involved to do it properly, it will likely never happen.
Obvious best case is quality releases on-schedule, and that's what we all want. But when forced to choose between two less-favourable extremes, I'd say go for the one that gets the tracks out.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Obviously that’s the preferred scenario.
I’m hoping this is released on CD as I don’t have a turntable.
Of course if they don’t correct the mislabelled tracks it takes me no further forward...

It isn't that hard to rename the mislabelled tracks surely?
Took a look at EastWest's website once. Not a single Sisters mention, in the label history, former artist roster, nowhere.
Von really, royally pissed people off there, to make them disown him entirely. Warner has treated the back catalogue as the red-headed stepchild since.
Ironic, considering the labour pains that went into the record deal in the 80's.

To be honest, whilst The Girls have an importance to we few, I doubt anyone of any significance at EastWest ever gives them a passing thought as they had hundreds of bigger acts pass through their business.
....if I have to explain, then you'll never understand....

Well I’ve downloaded the mislabelled tracks and re-named them.
I now have a new twelve track sessions playlist.
It remains to be seen if when I next sinc my iPhone with iTunes if it stays that way or “reverts”.
Time will tell.
Yep, queued behind 40ish people outside Record Corner in Godalming this morning from 7.30 (walked out with my copy at 9.20). Worth checking their web site later, they had 15 copies (@ £40)
How does the 84 session sound? Is it still all sans top end or has anyone bothered to remix it a bit?

I have seen The Sisters at The Paradiso. I will die happy
With massive thanks to Ruffers for his company and help.
A girl is never too old to wear a Sisters tshirt!

Yes it's official.
Right now it's vinyl only. I guess there may be a release on other formats later on, but for now there's no indication either way. All 3 sessions were officially released on digital or streaming over the last year or so, but the 1982 session remains unavailable outside of the UK. 1983 and 1984 are available worldwide.

it's official as in it's not a bootleg, but it's not been officially sanctioned by The Sisters (they don't get a say as the rights to the recordings belong to the BBC and they have been released under licence by Warner Brothers) .
i wonder about the publishing rights to the songs themselves...We know Eldritch sold his rights to the songs ages ago but of course these sessions feature songs credited/co-credited to Marx Adams and Hussey.- Floorshow, Poison Door, Walk Away & No Time to Cry. Did the others sell their publishing rights as well i wonder? it would be nice to think of a few scheckles making their way into the pockets of someone in the band.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Some serious bubbles going on there
Some serious bubbles going on there
I think the off centre ones look worse as they're in the inner sleeves?
But those bubbles are a bit bad. I'd be trying constantly to squash them flat

Just bought mine. $29.99! I was going to leave it when I saw the UK prices, but decided to call around to our local record stores here and one of them still had a copy.
